Woodberry Associates is seeking an Events Intern to join its growing team of dynamic professionals.

Title: Events Intern, Advocacy Management

Location: Washington, DC

What You Do

  • Support Events team in event management to ensure all events are planned effectively, within budget and according to client specifications
  • Assist in sourcing venues to ensure they meet client expectations
  • Assist with the coordination of hotel and travel accommodations with event registrants, as appropriate
  • Maintain detailed spreadsheets tracking event registrations, accommodations and headcounts
  • Assist in drafting and producing event materials
  • Participate in coordination with vendors on event needs related to setup, food and beverage, audio visual, etc.
  • Assist with the organization of conference calls/meetings related to each event, including client calls and event prep calls
  • Assist with on-site event production and staffing, including programming, setup, food and beverage, audio visual, registration, signage, event materials, etc.

Salary & Benefits

WA hosts interns each Fall, Spring, and Summer for approximately 12 weeks each semester. Positions are paid at the rate of $17 per hour. Dates and hours are flexible, though interns are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Positions are in person in our Washington, DC office.
