Title: Director, Health Care Advocacy
Required: 5+ years of experience in policy advocacy or nonprofit work
Location: Washington, DC
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience working in nonprofit management, public affairs, campaigns or advocacy
- High energy with a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once and balance competing priorities
- A quick study who can distill complex issues
- A driven professional with a get-it-done attitude
- Attitude of initiative, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Experience with managing junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Flexibility to travel
What You Do
- Serve as the account director for multiple health non-profit policy and advocacy organizations
- Oversee and execute day-to-day nonprofit management, including:
- Sponsor and donor relations
- Governance and member relations
- Programming and initiatives that drive the nonprofits’ missions, such as:
- Awareness & social media campaigns
- Thought leadership projects
- Surveys and studies
- Educational programs & initiatives
- Events & webinars
- Direct internal and external communications, including the creation of advocacy resources
- Represent nonprofit clients at meetings and conferences
Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Washington, DC with health insurance, 401(k) and unlimited paid vacation. Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000
